There are instances where upper and lower jaw growth occurs at different rates. The result is a lack of jaw coordination in both size and function. This problem can lead to difficulty in speech and in jaw movement. Corrective jaw surgery, in conjunction with orthodontic care may be necessary to properly align the teeth and jaws. Cases will be managed on an individual basis.
